hazards can be purposefully decreased and regulated to a minimal and acceptable
level. System safety is the logical pursuit of acceptable accident risk and finding ways
to manage such risks. System safety aids in identifying potential points of failure for
systems and applying design mitigations to get rid of, fix, or get around safety flaws
in the system (Stephans, 2022). Incident prevention can be accomplished by
proactively finding, evaluating, and removing or managing safety-related dangers to
reasonable standards.
Why is it important to continually review and refine the system throughout its
lifecycle?
During the design creation process, some dangers frequently go undiscovered.
As a result, system safety should be continually improved to identify risks and
dangers before they materialize into disasters. Systematic reviews seek to locate,
