MANAGEMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES IN HEALTH CARE
Human resource management work in medical institutions where they perform very
important work like ensuring there is provision of high quality services to the patients. The
human resource management have several roles which include: They control the hiring of
new hires, recruiting and selecting the compensation by the managing personnel. They make
sure all the employees in the medical institution follow all the procedures and policies. The
human resource management is very essential in every medical institution because it ensures
there is delivery of effective medical services and that patients are well satisfied. If the
medical practitioners are well trained and motivated, success is well assured from the health
care in return. This motivation can be brought by giving bonuses to the employees
accordingly based on their performances.
HRM should be able and in a position to set the overall goals and strategies in which
every employee in the medical institution is able to achieve at the end of the day. It also
focuses on maintaining the mental health of the employees. This is because it will ensure all
the employees are protected from poor mental issues which might turn into serious shortfall
in performance. The training which is done, usually helps to empower the employees by
helping them to be more innovative and creative (Shohet et al., 2004. With this creativity, the
nurses use them on how to approach the patient care and more training stations introduced
within the hospital premises for easy access to the patients in need. Finally, the HRM services
are more concerned with the development of the public health services and the private health
services. This is carried out by monitoring the daily routines and regulate staff recruitment.
Hence while recruiting the HRM should find more qualified personnel in order to ensure the
set goals are achieved on time.
