3. In the Create parameter dialog box, give any name to the parameter (We have given the
name as “Parameter 1”. Set the Data type to String and allowable values as List. Then in
the list of values box below, give any three labels ( note: this is just a label ). We have given
three labels such as Occupation”, “Political affiliation”, and “Immigration status” in the
list of values box. Now, click OK and the “Parameter 1” would be created
4. Click on the Create Calculated Field from the down arrow next to Dimensions

The first line is CASE [Parameter 1]. This selects Parameter 1. Then we have conditions like WHEN ‘Occupation’ THEN [What is your occupation?]. Note that ‘Occupation’ here is just a label value we created inside the “Parameter 1” and [What is your occupation?] represents the actual variable in the dataset.
