Click on the Create Calculated Field from the down arrow next to Dimensions 2 Tableau-Parametric List and filters 3 5. A calculated field opens up. Now, give any name for the calculated field. We have given the name “Disp-Parameter 1”. This calculated field function is to display the variables based on the label values created in the “Parameter 1”. Take close attention to the code. The first line is CASE [Parameter 1]. This selects Parameter 1. Then we have conditions like WHEN ‘Occupation’ THEN [What is your occupation?]. Note that ‘Occupation’ here is just a label value we created inside the “Parameter 1” and [What is your occupation?] represents the actual variable in the dataset.
