This journal's author acknowledges that racial inequality in America has been a topic of
discussion for many years. He acknowledges that race has sponsored death and orchestrated
unprecedented suffering and despair across continents for many decades. Notably, the United
States is perhaps the most racially diverse nation in the world. For many years, people
worldwide had embraced the belief that racism was ending as a figment of the past. The
successful inauguration of President Barack Obama in the 2008 election brought some light
and audacious hope for the black people in America and worldwide (Munger, & Seron,
2022). However, that was not the case, as the author still notes that there are indications of
racism that affect blacks primarily. For instance, in 2020, America was again required to look
deep at issues of racial inequality. Many cases of police brutality against Black Americans
and racial disparities were exposed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, racial
inequality should be focused on close examination and changed in America.
