REFLECTION JOURNAL 2
What stood out as most important to me in the module?
The most significant part that influenced my interest is the leadership and
management skills within the organization behaviors module. This essay discusses leadership
and management skills based on the rise model. The Rise Model comprises of four-element,
which include elevation, suggestion, inquiry, and reflection (Champoux J E, (2020). First,
leaders promote organizational behavior by inspiring followers, providing a clear vision, and
setting achievable long-term objectives. In addition, leaders create a bigger picture and
models to guide the organization’s activities to achieve the organization's mission and vision.
On the other hand, managers ensure operations run smoothly, set short-term expectations and
goals. In conjunction, managers promote stability, train employees, and develop their skills
within a workplace.
What did I learn from it?
From the management and leadership skills learned, I need to elevate my career goals
and inspirations by setting long-term and short-term career goals and increasing my
coursework performance. Additionally, I learned from the organization behavior module that
having a clear career vision promotes the inquiry of more information and answers
concerning personal life improvements (Champoux J E, (2020). Further, I learned how to
reflect coursework short-term expectations and goals to personal life, influencing positive
attitude and logical thinking towards solving problems. In addition, the organization behavior
module initiated my morale on suggesting various contributions that will promote my
personal and career goals by ensuring coursework activities run smoothly.
How does this module build on the previous modules?
