I agree with your post that the current covid19 pandemic has heavily affected employee’s
safety. WHO has encouraged social distancing and remote working to avoid infecting other
people, which has created personal and professional challenges. The hiring process has further
been affected by not meeting the potential candidate since the recruiting teams are using virtual
interviews and meetings via zoom, skype or google meet. This has affected the communication
process. I appreciate that your workplace is highly encouraging the safety and health of
employees during the pandemic by installing thermal cameras and mandatory covid19 tests for
workers. This encourages employees to keep working and become more productive since they
are healthier. Ammar et al, (2021).

Your post has been educative to me, especially on potential challenges that your industry
undergoes; examples include following the NCA guidelines that have to be followed to the letter.
If an employee fails to follow these guidelines, they may lose their jobs or get punished. The
current mask mandate has become compulsory, which is not only tedious but also difficult to
follow. Your example of the campus enforcing the mask rule for the players, staff and coaches is
highly applicable in this situation. It has helped in the prevention and control of covid19;
however, the problem arising from the mask rule is being forgetful of wearing masks, people not
having them, breathing problems, etc. The employees are also tested for covid19 twice weekly in
preparation for the sporting activities. Buckley, (2020).
