Project Case

This project charter proposes the case of planning a wedding for Tia Brown and Joshua Adams.

The project charter will be titled The Adams Wedding Project. The purpose of the project charter

is to provide the bride a legal wedding and a memorable experience. There is constraint of a

budget of $25,000 and a invitation list of 250 attendees.

This project charter will authorize the planning of the Adams Wedding. All resources will be

assigned by the project sponsor.

Project Objectives

The objective of the Adams Wedding Project is to plan a wedding for Tia Brown and Joshua

Adams with the requirements and constraints that are defined by the parents of both the bride and

groom. They are the project sponsors who are providing funds for the project. The wedding is

expected to take place in a church, preferably in a church with a estimate of 250 individuals in

attendance. The wedding should also be within the budget of $45,000.

Scope and Deliverables

The project deliverables for this project are: the wedding ceremony and reception venue,

decorations for both the wedding ceremony and reception, catered dinner and desserts,

entertainment, wedding photographer, guest list/guestbook, wedding invitations, wedding

transportation, wedding ceremony programs, party favors, marriage officiate, wedding

gown/tuxedo, hair and makeup for the bride, and accessories.

The project team will not be responsible for the following deliverables: bachelorette party,

bachelor party, bridesmaids dresses/ groomsmen tuxedo, wedding rings, and bridal party.

The project team will bring the following deliverables: breakdown of budget and resource

allocation, detailed research of the cost of services, breakdown of choices such as venue choices,

catering choices and arrangements, wedding cake choices, wedding themes and decorations,

photography arrangements, fittings, and alterations, and a detailed breakdown of schedule of

tasks.

The project team will also ensure that all bookings, reservations and services are completed in a

timely manner.
