Robert Hooke distributed his thoughts regarding the "Arrangement of the World" during the 1660s,
when he read to the Imperial Society on Walk 21, 1666, a paper
"concerning the emphasis of an immediate movement into a bend by a happening alluring
standard", and he distributed them again in to some degree created
structure in 1674, as an expansion to "An Endeavor to Demonstrate the Movement of the Earth from
Observations".[10] Hooke declared in 1674 that he wanted to
"make sense of an Arrangement of the World contrasting in numerous specifics from any yet
known", in view of three "Notions": that "all Divine Bodies at all,
have a fascination or floating power towards their own Focuses" and "they really do likewise draw in
the wide range of various Heavenly Bodies that are inside the circle of
their activity";[11] that "all bodies at all that are placed into an immediate and basic movement, will
so keep on pushing ahead in an orderly fashion, till they are
by a few other strong powers diverted and bent..."; and that "these alluring powers are such a lot of
the more impressive in working, by how much the
closer the body fashioned upon is to their own Focuses". Hence Hooke obviously hypothesized
common attractions between the Sun and planets, in a way that
expanded with proximity to the drawing in body, along with a rule of straight latency.
