Responses to reply to: Consumers have more freedom to make decisions since the product bundle has grown as a result of open commerce.  Product specialization: free trade allows producers to access a large market. For example, Qatar has significant oil reserves, and if open commerce is not available, they will not be able to provide them, even if they have the capacity to do so. As a result of open commerce, Qatar has specialized in oil and petroleum products. As a result, revenue is a major driver of their economy.  Open commerce also contributes to global political stability.  US trade and tariff policies have had an impact on US commerce with other countries, and the recent impact of such policies may be seen in the decline in US trade with China and US trade with Iran. Both participants' countries were damaged in both circumstances, but the US has suffered the most in terms of tone since China has a large local market as well as a large overseas market, with the exception of the United States. In the case of Iran, trade has had a limited impact in a few industries, such as aviation, where trade and tariff laws have prevented commerce from taking place.  In recent years, the United States has adjusted its tariff policy towards India, another rising market. A few Resources that come to mind that are traded fall in the lines of alcohols, fur's, spices, manufactured goods and fuels. Long before. Monetary exchanges were in place. Individuals traded possessions or resources throughout civilization, this is a common practice and pays tribute to the human experience. Sharing resources. Not only. Allows. The opportunity to experience something else. But it also helps connect countries and people. It allows individuals to be proud of where they're from and what's produced there.  How have changes to US trade and tariff policies affected US trade with other nations? Consider recent (less than 2 years old) credible news sources to support your response.  Over the past ten years, tariffs in the United States and U S trade have changed drastically. There was a huge shift with manufactured vehicles and the tax behind importing and exporting those vehicles. The higher taxation penalties and tariffs were implemented at a time when the automotive industry was not doing well financially. It's been shifting in two different directions out of the recession. Over the past two years, COVID and the pandemic have been wreaking havoc on supply chains, changing protocol and regulation. We have seen a big shift in tariff policies as well. I'm not entirely sure if this is necessarily just because of tariff policies. Or if there truly was a shortage of individuals to produce products that resulted in slowness in the supply chain.
