Example #1) Algebra – Wikipedia; The Free Encyclopedia -
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Algebra
Wikipedia is a multilingual, Web-based, free-content encyclopedia project. The
Wikipedia’s articles provide links to guide the user to related pages with additional
information and is written collaboratively by volunteers from all around the world. You
can find simple definitions, examples, and graphics to detailed articles on any topic as
follows:
1. Biography
2. Geography
3. History
4. Mathematics
5. Science Society
6. Technology
I have used the web site to increase my understanding of mathematic terminology and
to preview equations which are diagramed like a sentence by topic and equation terms.
Since its creation in 2001, Wikipedia has grown rapidly into one of the largest reference
web sites attracting around 65 million visitors monthly as of 2009.
Example #2) Free Math Help - http://www.freemathhelp.com/fractions-addition.html
Free Math Help provides text and video lesson (some interactive) , tutoring, formulas,
message board and Ask and Expert. This website covers:

1. Algebra
2. Geometry
3. Trig
4. Calculus
5. Statistics
6. Other – Math Related Information
I have used the web site to increase my understanding of mathematic terminology and
the interactive videos in Other… for equations and plotting graphs.
Example #3) Math is Fun - http://www.mathsisfun.com/
The idea of this site is to offer mathematics in a fun way, and includes something for
basic math skills; however there is a mixture of easy to more complex information.
1. Search Engine
2. Numbers
3. Algebra
4. Geometry
5. Data
6. Measure
7. Puzzles, Quizzes and Worksheets

8. Illustrated Math Dictionary
9. Other Bits
10. Subject Index
11. Forum
This is an easy tool to utilize to review math equations or to learn new skills at any level.

A very easy question, which makes me think there may be more to it.
It is important to know the laws of math and the order of operations because you can not solve
equations properly without them. I have found before the last class that I would sometimes over-
analyze equations to the point where I could not except an answer if it came to easily. However,
I have learned that if you use the laws of math and the order of operations correctly the answers
should come easy.
This is why I will not over-analyze this question as well.

When I look at factoring a number the first thing I do is... is it an even or odd number if
yes then divide by 2
next is it odd or even and keep going till I can not pull 2s out of the number
next... is it divisible by 3 .... pick any number 1295 add the numbers together
1+2+9+5=17 then again 1+7=8 nope not by 3.
another example 1296 add the numbers together 1+2+9+6 =18 then again 1+8=9... any
number that adds up to 3,6 or 9 is divisible by 3
next I look at 5s does the number end in a 5 or 0 that makes it a multiple of 5 and so on
