A particle moving along the x-axis has its position
described by the function x =( 5.00 t3 2.00 t+ 5.00 )m,
where t is in s. At t= 4.00, what are the particle\'s (a)
position, (b) velocity, and (c) acceleration?
Solution
a. SImply put the value of t = 4 in the equation the answer
will tell you the position or the displcament of the particle
after 4 seconds
5*4*4*4 -2*4 + 5 = 320 - 8 + 5 = 317m
b.
at t = 4
velocity = dispalcement at t = 4 / time
velocity = 317/4 = 79.25 m/s
c.
acceleration = velocity / time
acceleration = 79.25/4 = 19.8125 m/s2
