Solution

a) Demang paging: In this the page referenced is copied

from secondary memory to main memory only on demand.

Pre-paging: All the pages other than the one demanded by

a page fault are copied.

b) Virtual memory: This is a feature of the operating

system. In this the OS uses disk storage for storing pages

when main memory is completely occupied. The

implementation of virtual memory requires hardware

support. Typically a memory management unit is built in

the CPU.
