Additional Primary or Secondary cache could be added at
same cost. If additional primary
cache results in a 92% hit rate and additional secondary
cache results in 97% hit rate, which
would be the better addition?
Solution
If cost does not matter than adding the primary cache
would be better. Primary cache stores information use by
the processor and this cache is extremely quick.
Secondary cache is the next step down from primary
cache. Using primary cache access time will definitely
decrease. Thus primary cache would be better.
