DeVry University-High Turnover Rates
DeVry University has been a school that has excelled in the last few decades and has
become a leader in application based education. This University has been in business for over 75
years. The University’s prestige and excellent programs have made them one of the most
recognized universities on the states. The University focuses on leadership, quality and integrity.
Unfortunate their admissions advisors do not see any potential in their jobs and are not motivated
by the lack of good managerial skills in the company. This has lead to a huge turnover rates and
has affected the University power to continue to impact potential student’s life. In order to
improve this situation and motivate the admissions advisors the university has decided to create a
new incentive plan.
The new incentive plans ads new features to already existing benefits but it also allows
advisors to move along the ranks from advisor level one to advisor level two and three. They
hope this need initiative or pilot program motivates employees to work harder and will also
reduce some of the turnover rates that are affecting the company. Obviously this is a merit
benefit in which the employee needs to concentrate in increasing productivity and becoming
more knowable of their jobs. This should at least reduce their concerns about not been able to
move in the company but leadership still has to work on improving managerial skills that is
affecting the floor.
To improve this situation the company is increasing their managers training and
supervising their development to ensure that are being effective in motivating their employees
which seem to be a huge factor. The University hopes that these actions will improve their
situations.
