2. My computer monitor. This product is quite large in its dimensions. It serves only
one purpose, which is to display information deriving from my computer. This product
could be classified as either a consumer product or a business to business product. Due to
the high cost of the typical computer monitor, this is a product that a consumer would
likely invest a significant amount of time searching for the best price. As a result of the
typical higher cost of this product, brand loyalty would develop because more time and
money is invested into the product.
3. My Sharpie Permanent marker. This is a felt tip pen that is used to create a permanent
label on CDs and DVDs. It serves only one purpose and is one dimensional in nature.
This product could be classified as either a consumer product or a business to business
product. This is a product that a consumer would not likely expend a significant amount
of time searching as the Sharpie brand has a significant amount of market share in their
brand category. Even though their products are a low cost in nature, their uniqueness and
high quality creates a significant amount of brand loyalty.
