Bid Strategy Demetric Miller Strayer University Dr. Dave Plumer Summary: About the Program: Joint Air-to-Ground Missile (JAGM) is a U.S. military program to develop an air-to-surface missile to replace the current BGM-71 TOW, AGM-114 Hellfire and AGM-65 Maverick missiles.[2] The US Army and Marines both have planned to purchase around 35000 missiles. JAGM is meant to for a joint service of U. S. Army, U. S. Navy and U. S. marine corps.By having a singlr missile configuration for many platforms, it will not only increase operational flexibility but also reduce logistic support costs. It is meant for military services, all the three military services agreed on the need of versatile air to ground missile, that can destroy a wide range of targets ranging from camouflaged armored vehicles to terrorist speedboat. The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command issued the RFP for Engineering and Manufacturing (EMD) and Low-Rate Initial Production (LRIP) on Joint Air to ground missile (JAGM). This was issued on April, 13.
