The purpose of the this paper is to display the results of Team Cs discussion regarding
objective 5.1 arrange the appropriate controls, performance measures, and feedback systems to
use for various business scenarios and objective 5.2 evaluate the application of a deliberate plan
and make necessary adjustments to continuous improvement and crisis management scenarios.
The team will discuss, which of the aforementioned objectives are more difficult or less difficult
to comprehend as well as discuss ways these objectives pertain to the workplace.
Most Comfortable Objective
The majority of the team is more comfortable with objective 5.2 because it is less
complex to evaluate and adjust a plan toward a desirable outcome (Wheelen & Hunger, 2010). In
connection, one team member is most comfortable with objective 5.2 because of their experience
directing quality management and improvement of medical care in the pre-hospital environment.
The team members’ current position involves evaluating existing processes and adjusting
processes to make sure the results are in line with expectations.
Furthermore, the team believes objective 5.2 is less complex because an organization is
evaluating a process or plan already in place and ensuring both remain on track. The
organization can see what is working and where changes can occur, which is better than
constructing the plan from scratch (Wheelen & Hunger, 2010). Another team member uses
objective 5.2 in the office and has extensive troubleshooting experience. In addition, the team
member is responsible for taking over a failing project and tweaking the policies and procedures
to make it more efficient.

Least Comfortable Objective
In contrast, one team member has difficulty with both objectives because he believes
arranging the appropriate controls, performance measures, and feedback systems to use for
various business scenarios are challenging and complex. The team member has experience with
organizations that establish controls, performance measures, and feedback systems that did not
pertain to the job. However, the majority of the team believes objective 5.1 to be the most
challenging because of the difficulty in selecting the appropriate items for a business scenario.
The most difficult task of objective 5.1 is evaluating and developing performance measures
because it is more technical than objective 5.2.
Conclusion
In conclusion, this week the team did not agree completely on which of the two
objectives were more challenging or less challenging. The discussion of objectives 5.1 and 5.2
demonstrates that an experience a person has with a particular process can help a person relate
more to one objective over another. In addition, the objectives this week explains to Team C the
importance of organizations understanding the business before implementing a strategy or
process. An organization can only be effective if it fulfills the needs of the organization and its
employees.
