Today it is very important for any company/organizations to have a strong
marketing mix if they want to be successful. Nike along with their other brand Air
Jordan’s is extremely successful when it comes to marketing their products.
Product
Nike/ Air Jordan offers a wide variety of products like shoes, apparel, and other
athletic equipment. Nike has been selling these products since the late 70’s, as for the Air
Jordan brand it came to life in 1997 as the number four basketball brand in the world.
Nike/ Air Jordan are still the number 1 top sellers today. In mass marketing companies
produce a product in large quantities and serve this product to as many consumers as
possible (Management Study Guide, 2012).” The feature that that customer’s care about
the most is the quality of Nike/ Air Jordan’s products, along with the color schemes they
put together that stand out to the customers. When it comes to Nike/Air Jordan
consumers use these products for athletic purposes or just for everyday wear.
Nike/ Air Jordan are not just limited to the basketball world; they have products
for football, tennis, and golf players. When it comes to branding athletes are the go to
people for selling their products. Air Jordan Top athletes used for branding purposes are
Basketball players Carmelo Anthony (NY Knicks), Chris Paul (LA Clippers), baseball
player CC sabathia ( NY Yankees), and football player Charles Woodson (GB packers),
for the kids collection Carmelo Anthony’s son Kiyan Anthony face of Air Jordan Kids.
Price
Nike/Air Jordan pricing is based on competitiveness to other shoe sellers like
Puma, Adidas, and Reebok. In most companies the price can be used by marketers to gain
