SCHIZOPHRENIA 2
Abstract
Schizophrenia is a chronic mental disorder and affects how a person thinks, feels and even is a
great contribution to the behavior possessed by a person. It deviates from a normal person from
reality. The disease symptoms are unique to each person, and there is no any established cure for
the disorder. Kraepelin is notable to have initially mistaken beliefs about the disorder, and he
could differentiate the disease from the other forms of disorders that affected individuals’ moods.
He was able to form a major classification of the mental illnesses that are known to affect the
human brain. Genetics and environmental factors greatly contribute to the causes of the disorder.
An individual with direct relationships to patients of this disease is more susceptible to the
disorder as compared to the general public. Identical twins are highly prevalent in the disease due
to the strong bond and nearly have similar features. Environmental factors like use of bhang and
malnutrition during pregnancy may cause the disorder. Symptoms of the disease may be
attributed to the disruption of the normal emotions and behaviors. Patients may notice changes in
their memory and other aspects of thinking at severe states. The treatment administered is
commonly the antipsychotic medications that aim in eliminating the disease symptoms.
