Presenting issues
The reason I chose the WFC as my company is due to my role in the company as the sales,
marketing and PR team member and firsthand knowledge of the workings of the company.
Within the WFC corporate structure, the main issue is the lack of an official PR department, as
well as a major lack of communication. These items are easily remedied if the proper structures
are put into action. One team member needs to be the go to person for PR related issues,
allowing others to focus more on other task and aspects of the job. The CEO Is un-available to
fulfill these duties due to his involvement in growing the company overall. Communication can
be achieved both internally and externally by re-vamping the website to have more information,
as well as more information made available to consumers and employee alike.
This lack of an official PR rep hurts the company overall, by not having unified information
readily available, as well as presented to the requesting parties in a timely manner. Currently the
WFC uses Facebook as its main focus for communication with consumers, yet lacks a
professional means of communication with investors. Sponsors and investors may be afraid to do
business with the WFC do to this, which can hinder growth In new regions overall. The company
is still new in the combat sports industry, and has a very long way to go, yet there are easy
changes that can be made to start headed that direction.
Tools
One PR tool that has not been utilized is the use of press conferences to discuss upcoming
changes within the company, upcoming events, new markets that are opening as well as new
fighters we sign. The company itself has been mentioned in several major sports publications as
well as new outlets, which puts a lot of focus on the company. Consumers and fighters are
