The events that unfolded onJanuary 13, 2012 echoes this statement and shows how the CEO was unprepared to deal with thesituation. The internal publics involved in the carnival cruise mishap were the ships Captain, aswell as the CEO, Micky Arison. The ships crew who was involved are also in the same category,since one of the higher up employees could have questioned the actions of the captain andprevented the mishap. Many passengers were injured due to the crews lack of response to thesituation, making the evacuation time much longer than what is required. This was due to a lackof leadership guidance, and poor planning. The external publics involved were passengers, aswell as the family of those affected. The media was heavily involved in the situation, since it wasthe largest mishap under the Carnival cruise lines name. Several passengers lost their lives, whileothers suffered injuries from the mishap.
