PLANNING AND THREAT ASSESSMENT

EVENT: Transportation of controversial client DATE: 2/10/2014

LOCATION: Los Angeles Courthouse TIME: 0900-1200

Situation:

On Monday February 10, 2014 an eight man security team will be responsible for getting a much

hated and controversial white supremacist to his court date. The 40 year old white supremacist is

confined to a wheelchair requiring the assistance of a full time nurse who aids the patient seven

days a week. The client is high risk due to his outspoken nature on the topic of white supremacy

and is hated by many different groups in society. The client is currently out on a million dollar

bond for the charges of murder and civil rights violations and has received many threats on his

life.

The client has hired our security team to protect him in his home because the local police are

providing no protection and to safely escort him to court. While the 40 year old white

supremacist is hated by many in society one threat to the client is a rival white supremacy group

trying to take political control of the movement. The security team will need to prepare for this

threat as well as the threats made against his life. Upon arriving at the courthouse there will be

many different people present in the emotionally charged environment posing a potential threat

to the client.

Present at the courthouse will be white supremacist groups, civil rights groups, fundamentalist

religious groups, media organizations, and members of the client white supremacy group. The

client is outspoken and refuses to enter the courthouse quietly. He intends to make a statement at

the top of the courthouse steps despite the danger.

In order to keep the client safe the security firm will employ a eight man team to keep the

controversial while supremacist from coming to any harm before reaching the courthouse and

upon his return to his home. The client lives in a beach house on Laguna Beach and will need to

be escorted an hour down the freeway to reach the Los Angeles courthouse. Upon completion of

court the client will need to be escorted out of the courthouse and driven safely the hour down

the freeway to his home.

Background:

On Monday December 2, 2013 the Judge issued a court day for the white supremacist. This gave

the security team one month to develop the most comprehensive security approach to keeping the

client safe when transporting him to the Los Angeles courthouse. A planning and threat

assessment is required to ensure the effectiveness of the security plan to safely transport the

client. The client is a high-profile, outspoken, and controversial white supremacist who is hated

by many different people in society increasing the security threats imposed to this particular

client.
