Answer in 200-300 words
I would concur with Schaefer (2011) in that our post-modern society is not preoccupied,
however, but obsessed with the cultural development that technology has generated. Access to
consumer goods has provided the convenience and financial savings within an economy of
instability. Since the advent of technology, society has grasp the leverage of technology
advancements through convince and perception, thus, creating a new postmodern sophisticated
society. In essence, technology has created a new formidable reality and sophisticated cultural
implications. Yes, I would say I am preoccupied with consumer goods.
Yes, I too would like to save more money, however, I am not obsessed with images that
portray a certain physical look at this type of propaganda is deceptive and distorted. Images no
days portray a society normality of acceptable physics that is false in its presentation, generally
misleading to the average individual. Despite the perceptions projected by theoretical approaches
and recognizing the advancements made, yes, many individuals would succumb to such society
norms, unless morality is instilled.
Casual, more commonly referred to as “causal relationship” is the current knowledge of
technology that reduces much uncertainty regarding future effects. Correlation is essentially
defined as one variable being dependent on another in which one increase while the other
decreases and/or results in the behavioral reaction to technology, which we see in this case
(Schaefer, 2011, p. 32). The basic importance in understanding relational variables and collected
research data is to provide one with factual information, the ability to analyzed data, and make an
informed judgment.
