There is an ethical life where the social rules and regulations rule an individual (Holmer, 1953). Religious life, where the total faith in God governs one. In Aesthetic experience, someone is ruled by passion. In one's life, one can never have complete freedom, which in turn causes monotony, nervousness, and hopelessness. Even though you have true faith in God, it does not lead to freedom but can get you out of psychological effects. Monotony, anxiety, and hopelessness were significant problems, and Kierkegaard spends a lot of time researching the remedies to the three ills. Humans are afraid of dying, but they are also frightened of living forever. According to the Kierkegaard, he believes that everyone would die, but everyone also has eternal life or soul that would go forever.
