ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR 2
Organizational Behavior
1. How do you define Organizational Behavior in your own words?
Organizations often strive to improve the output of their services as they aim to attract
more customers and deliver quality services. It is only possible to achieve this if the
organization understands the character of different personnel within the organization.
Organizational behaviour is the analysis of human behavior in an organizational setup and
applying this knowledge concerning other elements of the organization. Usually, it's the
analysis of people's character principally in their organizational responsibilities to
conceptualize a better organizational life.
2. How might managers overcome the challenges and opportunities of using OB
concepts in the workplace?
With every year comes changes in the workplace. Some of these changes may be
disruptive to the rigid job structures that could impede progress in various organizations.
Most managers are concerned about these changes as they bring forth challenges and
opportunities. Some of these include improving worker's skills, improving quality and
productivity, total quality management, managing workforce diversity, and responding to
globalization (iEduNote.com, 2020). Managers might overcome these challenges by adapting
their management style to fit with the present challenge they experience or the opportunity
presented. They should be flexible to switch up to models that work best to achieve
satisfaction, improved customer service and job performance.
3. Of the challenges and opportunities discussed, which do you think is the most
important for managers right now? Why?
