There are various aspects in family composition and health assessment that is critical in communal health assessment, especially for nurses. The use of health assessment proper healthcare plan for a family. Through the use of family composition, roles of each member, physical and psychological conditions, and religion, a family health assessment is vital in the community (Weber, 2010). In this type of assessment, the type of family assessed is a nuclear family that comprises of two parents namely, Mr. and Mrs. Robin and two children; Tom-a son and Jane-a daughter aged twelve and nine years respectively. Robin’s family come from a Caucasian race from the US, where different members of the family have a role to play based on gender. With both parents working, both Mr. and Mrs. Robin play a critical role in the family based on the social and cultural aspects of gender in the community.
