Rainer Volcano or Tacoma is an active volcano and it is 4392 meters; it’s also rated the highest mountain in Washington. Mt. Rainer is a composite volcano, meaning that it has a conduit system within; the system is responsible for channeling magma from deep down the surface of the earth (Kusky, 2018). The volcano also contains vents and clusters and lava often breaks via its walls. Sometimes the lava may also issue via its fissures to the mountainside, making the mountain grow taller and taller. However, it is also dangerous since it can really explode in a violent way causing casualties. In fact, most geologists fear and label Mt. Rainer Volcano as very dangerous volcanoes or as a time bomb. Scientists have no idea when it will blow up again. The summit of the mountain has two volcanic craters and it has geothermal heat, which makes the area around it free of ice or snow (Kusky, 2018).
