Submitted By: The place of the Engineer in Society   Engineering practice is the pivot of the safety of the public and its environment.  Members in this profession, therefore, are obligated to display high standards of honesty and integrity.  Thanks to the revolutionary innovations, many sectors are connected to engineering practice.  The field of engineering is steered by the principles of devotion to public safety; fairness, honesty, and impartiality during service; and public health.  Attributes of Ethics The public good   Professional ethics cause the engineers to not only care what their work means to them , but also be mindful of the people affected.  The engineer is expected to abscond anything that jeopardizes the safety of the public.  Engineers are also expected to take action when a fellow engineer.  This attribute extends to the environment as well. The act of serving   Engineers, guided by professional ethics, are expected to serve clients, employers and the public with fidelity.  Just like any other human being, engineers may loose their objectivity when serving various people.  Professional ethics, however, keeps them in line to ensure that they remain truthful and objective at all times.  An engineer should, therefore, put aside his/her personal interest so that they can serve efficiently. In this assignment, you will continue your analysis by comparing key performance management metrics of our two companies, identifying areas of relative strength and weakness, and suggesting ways that eachcompany could improve, thereby increasing its valuation. To do this, you will examine trends in order to identify variances and comparisons to: (1) establish benchmarks, (2) identify best practices, and (3) lookfor signs of superior performance. This analysis is critical in determining the value of each company, as well as evaluating whether potential acquisition or merger opportunities exist which could create greater value and synergies than those of operating the companies as separate entities.Instructions:To prepare, reread the Morningstar Analyst’s Report and the most recent annual reports for both companies with a particular focus on the Income Statementand Statement of Cash Flows.A.
