Running head: MARS MODEL 1 Mars Model Name: Institutional Affiliation Date MARS MODEL 2 MARS Model A MARS model can be defined as a model that serves to define individual behavior or organizational behavior as a consequence of factors of an organization’s environment. The name MARS in itself is an acronym of the most significant factors that are considered in the evaluation of an organization’s behavior and the results. The factors are M for motivation, A for abilities, R for role perception or role clarification, and S for Situational factors (McShane et al., 2013). Motivation refers to what motivates the individual, ability refers to whether the organization acquired the right personnel for the job description, role refers to whether the personnel has a clear understanding of what is expected of them, and Situation factors serve to define whether or not the organization is availing the equipment required to get the work done (Bell, 2015).
