Running head: WELLBEING 1 Wellbeing Observation Institution Affiliation Date WELLBEING 2 Introduction A career day is a day in which different members of the community visit the school and share with the pupils about their careers. They talk about how they got to the careers and what it takes to be successful in those fields. This exposes the students to the opportunities that are available in the career world. It also enables them to choose a career that suits their interests aside from childhood inspirations, which may sometimes be unrealistic (Kaskey, 2012). It also provides a platform to develop meaningful relationships between students, teachers, parents, alumni and the community at large. Shadow day, on the other hand, refers to a situation where students are connected to various jobs in line with their desired careers and are shadowed for a day. Shadowing entails observing what the people in that profession do by following them around as they go about their daily activities. This creates a tangible experience that connects their academics and their future professional endeavors. A career as well as shadow days have a significant impact on the general wellbeing of individual students and the school ecosystem at large.
