Her symptoms indicate that she may have ILC (Invasive Lobular Carcinoma). This is a breast condition that starts in the lobules or the glands that produce milk in the breast. Invasive means that the disease can easily spread to the other parts, including the lymph nodes. This condition presents with discrete breast masses. However, in most cases, it comes with a diffuse breast thickening. She could also have IDC (Invasive Ductal Carcinoma). This is a common type of breast cancers. It accounts for about eight percent of breast cancer cases (American Cancer Society, 2017). Patients normally present with discrete and solid masses. In addition, she could also be having a Fibroadenoma a condition which affects young women, but it can also occur in middle-age and elderly women as calcified masses.
