The oldest member is Daniel Steele (85), followed by Benjamin Steele (64), and Raphael Steele (32). The three members assessed are male and represent three consecutive generations in the family (grandparent, father, and son). The three members of the family have an extensive health history. The eldest, Daniel, has struggled with high blood pressure since middle age (assumingly since he was 45). He has also had prostatitis when he was 72 which was treated successfully using antibiotics. He has no significant surgery history cut he takes Bumetanide (Bumex) for high blood pressure. Two years ago, Daniel started losing his memory and was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Benjamin, the second family member, has diabetes (diagnosed at 35) and also relies on medication for HBP. He has also lost one of his toes to amputation from diabetes-related complications. Moreover, Benjamin has lost one of his eyes to retinopathy, also connected to diabetes. The last family member, Raphael does not have a significant family history based on genetic diseases.
