Dental hygiene has been a health issue that several healthcare professionals have undertaken a concern in making people aware of its importance. Dental hygiene profession has been on the rise as more people are willing to undertake the necessary education to offer the medical services that are needed in maintaining oral hygiene. Dental hygiene profession deals with dental and oral hygiene of patients in any health care facility. Dental hygienists are concerned with the oral cleanness of their patients and hence they have to consistently check on their patients to ensure that they maintain their oral hygiene in their bodies. The hygienist can either work alongside dentists or in some cases work as independent contractors who set up their own health care facilities and offer hygiene services to the target market.
