Name Institution         Primary prevention of various diseases is vital in health promotion. Primary prevention is also applicable in the fight against Diabetes Type II. Type II diabetes is deemed to be among the prevalent disease which has affected a wide population in the world. Lack of better management of type II diabetes is the main cause of the spread of the disease. Primary prevention will involve the strategies of promoting healthy lifestyles believed to be the cause of the spread of type 2 diabetes. Prolonged type 2 diabetes can cause serious damages to human body such as kidney failure, retinopathy, and diabetic neuropathy. The first approach of preventing the spread of type 2 diabetes is based on understanding the changes of human diet and lifestyle. Therefore, the focus will be laid on the human lifestyles and the effective strategies that would facilitate healthy eating, regular exercise, alcohol and tobacco limitation, and weight management which are believed to be the causes of the spread of type II diabetes.        The presentation is based on the health issues that is affecting the community with the increased rate of type 2 diabetes.
