Snyder v. Philips Justice is known to be the very most important thing to be done in any particular society. In any nation, there are certain rules and regulations that are set aside in order to ensure that all things are done in order. This tends to protect the rights of those people that are innocent and yet they are being violated by the bad people. Countries do try to ensure that the rights of the people are protected hence the court has been given authority to ensure that justice had to be upheld within all the communities. The presence of a court is very important as it serves to ensure that the truth has been achieved among all the people. Looking at the case belonging to Snyder and Phelps, the speech should not be protected under the 1st amendment's protection because it causes harm to the affected parties. The two parties appear in court since they have differences that need to be solved. The rights belonging to the other person are seen to be violated in one way or the other. The court hence tries to ensure that the two parties come into an agreement and hence end up with the differences that exist between the two parties, Snyder and Phelps. Moreover, the purpose of this speech was not to express the opinion relating to the case. The purpose of the speech was not only to harass the Snyder’s family but also to all the gays belonging to the United States.
