From previous and current visits, it is clear that these primates have certain tendencies that are as a result of being locked up and caged. Thesis: Caged spider monkeys and Gorillas demonstrate depressive and violent behavior because they are behaviorally-complex animals that cannot adapt to a life in captivity with a predetermined routine. Primate Description Relationships between primate behavior and ancient or modern human behavior Spider monkeys and Gorillas are some of the most socially and cognitively complex primates and being able to properly provide satisfactory living conditions for them has always been a challenge. According to Denise, (2017), just like modern human beings, these primates differ from one to another and their preferences cannot be generalized; this means that regardless of the living conditions that they are placed in, it is difficult to satisfy their natural needs effectively.
