The movie was released in the year 2013 in the United States and was well received by viewers across the world due to its ensemble cast and screenplay. During the 86th Academy awards, the movie received 10 nominations, 3, Golden Globe awards and 3 BAFTA Awards though did not secure a win in any of the categories category. Movie Synopsis The American Hustle 2013 film is an American black comedy movie that was written by Eric Singer and Russel and directed by David O. Russell. The inspiration of the movie is the FBI abscam operations of the 1980s and 1970s (Leiby, 2013). The two stars of the movie are Amy Adams and Christian Bale who act as con artists. The two artists are forced by Bradley cooper who is an FBI agent to facilitate a sting operation on the corrupt Jeremy Renner who is the mayor of Camden and other power hucksters.
