The decisions made, at any level of a business affects the organization in some way. The managers should, therefore, be keen with the decisions they make (French, 2014). It, therefore, calls for the best decision-making method that best solves the problem or situation at hand without harming the organization. Some decisions can lead to negative implications like a violation of business ethics. One decision-making method that I recommend to managers is the use of a decision tree (French, 2014). A decision tree, as a decision-making tool, is effective in formulating a decision on organizational situations that may have ethic considerations. For example, a company that wishes to downsize its workforce faces ethics implications in the process of layoff. The laid-off employees can damage the image of the company or file a legal suit against the employer. Making such a decision can be analyzed using a decision tree. A decision tree utilizes branches that represent options that the managers can choose. The options can have other options as well, which follow each other in one line of thought.
