Milke is a German American woman was sent to a prison in the state of Arizona for more than twenty-five years. Milke was sentences to death after being found guilty of killing of her four year old son together with two other people. The co-conspirators were her friend and roommate. The two failed to testify against her and stated that she was not present at the time when the shooting took place. Her friend Scott stated that she was the mastermind of the criminal offence whereas her roommate Styers stated that she had nothing to do with the murder of her son. However, the two implicated each other over the murder of the four year old. However, over time, there were many complications that arose and this further polarized the case due to the testimonies that had been given. This was largely due to the conduct of a Phoenix police detective who had stated that Milke had confessed to him. On the other hand, Milke was adamant that such a confession never took place meaning that the confession was uncorroborated.
