Patient safety on the other hand implies the establishment of actions that help in minimizing customer risks or simply the action plans implemented to prevent harm to patients. Relating the two terminologies used in healthcare setting, the link between these two terminologies is that quality serves as an overarching umbrella under which patient safety exist in. in this regard, quality is perceived as an integrationist concept meaning that safety can be referred to as an attribute of quality. Furthermore, saying that quality is built on a culture of safety is absolutely true because prevention of harm entails the use of appropriate designs, processes, measurement and performance.
