Rebecca A. Turner and the associated institutions, the investigations on emotions expressed in close relationships have given rise to complementary insights (Clay, 2008). The first insight is that emotions and various ways in which they are manifested relate profoundly. Insignificance, they occur to coordinate relationships' social interactions. Turner presents studies that examine the functions and forms of sexual desire and romantic love in relationships that are regarded to be romantic (Gonzaga et al., 2006). The second insight shows that emotions that are expressed by individuals are responsible for shaping the direction and content of a relationship. For example, expression of brief emotions such as amusement or contempt decides the fate of relationship whether the couple will dissolve or stay together (Howard et al., 2006). In this article, Rebecca has expressed her research, implying that intimate emotions such as sex enhance the intimacy of the partners. However, this research is misinterpreted by DR. Eric Keroack, which DR. Rebecca regards as a pseudoscience.
