There are several hoofers in history who known to pioneer various hoofing movements that defined tap dancing in the early 1900s. One of the renowned hoofers in history was Hony Coles. In hoofing, there were two main acts involved: the flash act and the class act. Hony Coles was famously known for the class act which could be defined as a movement of tap dance that was described as suave and smooth.
