They, case managers, serve various purposes that range from psychological assessments, counseling, and evaluation with clients and work closely with client’s families, the members of the community as well as other professionals needed in the life of the client. To qualify for the task of a case manager, individuals need to have a set of skills and training as well as academic qualifications so as to have certifications of practice (Powell, & Tahan, 2018). For the case managers to have more opportunities in the case management filed, the case managers need to have at least bachelor’s degree with the possible majors being counseling, nursing, psychology, criminal justice or social work. Some of the case managers earn masters or associates degree’s in the fields of nursing and human services and licensing as registered nurses as well. The academic programs are usually based on the case management duties where completed course work usually depends on the areas of interest of the students.
