A misconception is an opinion or a view which is incorrect as it is based on faulty thinking. It generally means misunderstanding or misinterpretation. As portrayed in the video, most students are susceptible to a lot of misconceptions, especially to things related to science. For example, in the video, the students are asked on their graduation day whether they can light a battery and a wire and most of them say yes and when given to do it practically they are unable and say they have no idea. It is a result of a misunderstanding of the trick in such a question (Annenberg Learner, 2017). This kind of misconception is also evident in a biblical perspective where most of the Christians are opposed to science (Tingblad, 2019).
