Majority of the pyramids began as traditional mastabas only to advance to one of the most excellent forms of architecture. During the beginning of the dynastic era, 2950 B.C tombs were crafted in curve form made of rocks and roofs covered with flat mastabas, a precursor to the pyramids. Pyramid builders assembled numerous stepped layers of stone that eventually attained the desired height of about 600 feet. Approximately more than 2 million blocks of stone weighing 2.5 tons each were cut transported and assembled in a systematic manner (Isaacson, 2016). The stones themselves were mined just south of the pyramids and moving the blocks was simplified by sand wetting. With more research, the construction seemed to be complemented by a ramp system that was pretty steep marked with rope and pulley systems to lift stones into the air and deposited in an enormous triangle. 2.
