Number Date 1 GROWING INEQUALITY LEVELS IN THE USA 2 Abstract Inequality means the unequal distribution of resources, leaving the gap between the few rich and the many poor to increase significantly. Although the topic of inequality is a controversial topic that has led to heated debates, it is evident that inequality has many problems in the United States. Inequality is the key driver to several social ills, which include depressed economic growth, homelessness, poor educational and health outcomes, increased crime, and lack of social mobility. In this regard, rather than been justified, inequality should be condemned in the United States. However, some people feel that inequality in the United States should be justified rather than been condemned. The argument brought forth by these people is that inequality to be not only a natural way but a beneficial feature that can be used to grow a nation's economy. Nevertheless, the less, their opinion does not hold since the problems of inequality in the United States outweigh "the blessings." Reducing inequality in the United States require an all-inclusive policy that encompasses implementing institutional arrangements on the field of fiscal, social, and economic policies.
