ES 4 Final ASSESSMENT Roeder SPRING 2019 100% Global Renewable Energy Plan- The Solutions Project Worth 75 Points toward your final grade Some of you may have been fortunate enough to see Stanford University Professor Mark Jacobson’s lecture at the Kirsch Center for Environmental Studies A FEW YEARS AGO . It was quite a compelling presentation. Because this is a class about Energy and its impact on the Environment and Society, I wanted you to take a look at Mark Jacobson’s Solutions Project plan to make the World 100% Renewable Energy by 2050. Many states in the US and many countries around the world are making great progress. In our first class, we covered the Sustainability and Sustainability Triangle or Triple Bottom LineFactors affecting the Environment, the Economy and the Social Equity. In order for a vision like the Solutions Project to work, all three factors must be addressed and taken into consideration in the final plan. Each area needs to have enough renewable energy resources to make the plan work.
