Primarily, the law addressed three major areas of the healthcare services provision in the United States; affordability, access and quality. The Affordable Care Act was enacted during the reign of President Barrack Obama in 2010, and it brought in a raft of changes in the management of the country's healthcare systems (Lerman et al., 2017). Thus, since the policy changes were introduced through the change in law, it is possible to conclude that the Affordable Care Act was responsible for introduction of the policy. Whether the instrument was the most appropriate or not The changes in the health policy were so adverse that it is not possible to see how they could be implemented without the application of the legislative structure of the country. It is important to note that the policy change was going to have adverse effects on the health, social, political and economic foundations of the country.
