Therefore, the following can be considered to be sexual harassment acts; rape, sexual touching that is unwanted, sexual gestures, letters, phone calls, or other material that is sexual. Sexual stories, spreading sexual rumors, involuntary kissing, and giving of sexual gifts are also some forms of harassment that are sexual. To have a better understanding of sexual harassment there is a need to look at the effects associated with sexual harassment to the self or individual and to the workplace or organizational and how to prevent sexual harassment through self-empowerment programs. Literature Review Effects of Sexual Harassment The federal court has for the past three decades recognized that harassments of a sexual nature are a form of sexual discrimination.
