The inappropriateness of a web activity is based on if the content has the potential to raise any ethical or legal issues for the employees or the organization at large. Wasting valuable time that could be used to work on the tasks assigned to an employee is also regarded to as misuse of the internet. Currently, the use of the internet has become widespread around the globe due to the numerous advantages it poses even for businesses people and organizations. For this reason, it is impossible to eliminate its use at workplaces to avoid incidences of misuse by organizational employees at all levels. Among the negative impacts that abuse of the internet could have on organizations include low employee productivity, decreased morale at the workplace and or damage to computer equipment. As such, the management of the organization should develop measures to curb the problems that continue to affect the success of many agencies in the country. Such, measures should include training of employees on the impacts of internet misuse as well as developing laws and policies.
